The Blizzard Air Ambulance Edition Kit has been designed and tested in collaboration with clinicians at Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance. We have adopted design elements from Blizzard range using our unique 3 Layer Reflexcell material and created an Air Ambulance specific design. The AAE Kit improves the thermal management and treatment provided to critically ill and injured patients.
Packaged as a complete thermal management system, ergonomically designed carry handle with easy opening even in the harshest environments. The AAE Kit protects the patient in all environments yet still allows full access, with side, top, central and foot openings to facilitate ongoing clinical care during transport.
The AAE Kit includes:1 x 3 Layer Reflexcell Blanket with Integral Hood, 1 x Beanie Hat, 4 x Large Heat Pads
The integral hood with shoulder protection is a vital part of the thermal management system. Specially designed for the patients comfort and to protect them from the elements, whilst trapping valuable heat within the blanket. The hood is securely held in place by a hook and loop closure for transport.
Four fast acting heat pads keeps the patient at a comfortable temperature to help prevent and treat hypothermia, increasing patient survival in extreme conditions. The Heat pads are fully repositionable and are specially designed to be used with Reflexcell material, reaching optimal temperature quickly.
