Blizzard Protection Systems Ltd, part of the Persys Medical Group, is based on the edge of Snowdonia, North Wales and offers a range of high quality Passive Warming Systems using our unique material Reflexcell™, that through its reflective air pocket construction offers the best insulation property of any comparable product.
Established in 2000 we originally set out to offer solutions to Hypothermia management in the climbing, mountaineering and outdoor markets, however our products were quickly recognised as a serious aid in the management of Hypothermia particularly in Trauma care.
Our tie-in with Persys Medical Group helped produce a more rounded offering of products specific to Trauma care including an extensive range of the “Israeli” bandage, the B.I.G. and N.I.O. Intraosseous Vascular Access device, and 4BC “stop the Bleed” kits. Follow the link www.ps-med.com for more information.
By offering a wide choice of unique products Blizzard fulfills and satisfies all our customers’ needs and we now distribute our range of thermal protective products to clients throughout the world in the Military, Ambulance, Police, Fire and Rescue Services as well as Mountain Rescue and new exciting markets such as Veterinary Surgery, whilst not of course forgetting our original market of Outdoor Leisure.
Blizzard products represent a quantum leap in the way both civilian and military trauma cases can be treated and Blizzard’s unique Reflexcell™ material is incorporated into all Blizzard Survival products in military, medical, emergency preparedness and outdoor applications globally. Led by our innovative Managing Director Derek Ryden and our team of R & D engineers we are constantly looking at ways to ensure our products are the best for hypothermia management.
The company’s location gives us access to a mountainous region that offers truly challenging weather conditions and is an invaluable proving-ground for our products.
