Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team

The Team were called out yesterday 14th July 2020, a party of three climbers called for assistance after getting into difficulties in deteriorating weather conditions on Lliwedd. Due to the terrain and complexity of the incident, they collaborated with Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue and Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue Team .

Two of the party were found to be mildly hypothermic, all were rewarmed by putting them in our Blizzard Jackets. After 11.5 hours, all team members were off the hill and the incident was closed with North Wales Police.

The Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team is a fully voluntary organisation who respond to those in need on Snowdonia and the sourrounding mountains. The Team is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and relise entirely on donations from members of the public, to carry out essential life saving rescue services. Blizzard have been proudly sponsoring the team for a number of years and will continue to support them in their work for many years to come.
